Philip Eubanks named executive director and Margaret Klein Salamon named board chair
Climate Emergency Fund is entering an important new chapter.
After five years as Executive Director, Margaret Klein Salamon will become Board Chair, and Philip W. Eubanks, our current Deputy Director, will take on the role of Executive Director. This leadership transition strengthens Climate Emergency Fund as we scale disruptive, nonviolent climate activism at a moment when it is needed more than ever.
Under Margaret’s leadership, we grew from a small startup into an internationally-recognized hub for high-impact climate activism, granting over $18 million to more than 150 organizations worldwide. Building on this foundation, Philip brings deep experience in justice-centered philanthropy and will focus on expanding our impact and giving activists the resources they need to succeed.
With climate science and progress under threat, our mission has never been more urgent. Climate Emergency Fund remains the only nonprofit dedicated to funding disruptive, nonviolent climate action at scale, giving funders a way to create momentum for real change.
We’re grateful for your partnership as we continue building the movement for a livable future.
