Climate Emergency Fund supported Climate Defiance for 2 years before it launched— supporting Michael Greenberg and a small team in executing one-off actions, like the West Virginia Coal Baron Blockage. Climate Emergency Fund supported more than 90% of Climate Defiance’s budget in their first year, and 50% in their second year.

Climate Emergency Fund provided seed funding for the development and launch of Just Stop Oil and the A22 Network, a global network of groups that utilized the same methods of recruitment and action as Just Stop Oil. The groups in the A22 network have been featured in the press tens of thousands of times, and several of them, including Just Stop Oil, have won their demands! Climate Emergency Fund provided more tha 90% of the organizations budget in its first year, and more than 50% in its second year.

Scientist Rebellion is a global group of scientists taking direct action on climate. Scientist Rebellion has a key role to play in shaping the narrative around climate protest. Scientist Rebellion members not only show up to their own protests, they also attend other groups’ protests in their white lab coats, lending legitimacy to the activists’ claims.
